Fire Station - Contract #1 - General Construction & Site Work It includes the construction of two new additions and level II alterations to the existing Fire House building located at 1408 Kings Highway, Chester, New York 10918. The work involves General Construction, Plumbing, H.V.A.C., Electric, Site Work, and other incidental improvements associated with the project. The work will be performed under four separate prime contracts: General Construction & Site Work, Plumbing, H.V.A.C., and Electric. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name, address, bid date, project name, and marked 'SEALED BID.' A bid security of 5% of the bid amount (Bid Bond or certified check) is required. Bidders must observe the requirements of the New York State General Municipal Law Section 103-d regarding conditions of employment and compliance with prevailing wage rates. All bids must include affirmed non-collusive bidding certification, sexual harassment prevention certification, and Iranian energy sector divestment certification. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waive formalities in bidding. Upon award, contractors are to begin work as soon as possible, weather permitting. Bids must remain valid for 45 days following opening and the award is subject to appropriation of funds as required by law.
