This project was awarded to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. in the amount of $3,724,199.31 The work includes bituminous mill and overlay, bituminous trail construction, concrete curb and gutter, concrete walk, ADA and intersection improvements, and storm sewer improvements at Jefferson Parkway from MN 246 to Spring Creek Road, Maple Street from Jefferson Parkway to Meadow View Drive, and Prairie Street from Jefferson Parkway to Woodley Street. Major items of work include approximately 44,450 square yards of mill bituminous surface (2.0), 7,000 square yards of Type SP 9.5 wearing course mixture (2,B) at 2.5-inch thickness, 5,000 tons of Type SP 9.5 wearing course mixture (3,C), 16,650 square feet of 6-inch concrete walk, and 10,050 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter design B618, together with related items of work. Only registered plan holders are allowed to bid, and bids must be submitted electronically using bidVAULT. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidders bond or certified check equal to at least 5% of the total bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. Phase 2 All work along Jefferson Parkway and Maple Street shall not be started until June 11, 2026 and shall be completed by September 8, 2026. All work within Phase 2 shall be completed prior to commencing work on any subsequent phase. Phase 3 All work along Jefferson Parkway shall not be started until June 11, 2026 and shall be completed by September 8, 2026. Work on Segment C of the Mill Towns State Trail that is outside of city right-of-way shall be substantially completed by October 15, 2026. Final completion must be complete by November 15, 2026
