The City of Whitesburg, Georgia is seeking qualifications and proposals from engineering firms to provide pre- and post-award engineering services for state and federally funded projects related to water infrastructure and community and economic development. Immediate plans require assistance with Preliminary Engineering Report, Design Services, and Construction Administration Services for a CDBG project for public water infrastructure improvements. The selected firm will be responsible for preliminary report, design, and construction administration services for projects using state and/or federal funds. This procurement may lead to further contracts or addendums for future projects over the next 36 months. Firms must submit information for evaluation including firm history, key personnel, licenses, insurance, knowledge of community, experience with similar projects, management structure, references, and required forms. Proposals must include a detailed cost estimate covering engineering services from initiation through close-out, specify charges for Preliminary Engineering Reports, and fees for design and construction administration. Proposals must comply with applicable federal and state provisions such as HUD Section 3 and the Build America, Buy America Act. Evaluation will consider qualifications, timeframes, compliance with requirements, and price proposal. Sealed proposals must be received in accordance with the submission instructions.
