The purpose of this bid is to solicit offers from qualified Bidders for the modernisation of the Science room K1 on the existing Corona High School campus. In accordance with Public Contract Code 20111, the CORONA- NORCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT", will receive up to, sealed bids for the award of a contract for: Corona High School - Science Room K1 Remodel Project. Each bidder shall possess, at the time the bid is awarded, a valid California Class B license pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3300. The successful contractor shall maintain the license throughout the duration of the contract. Small businesses and firms owned and controlled by women, minorities and persons with disabilities and/or disabled veterans are encouraged to participate in this solicitation. Bidders who do not meet the above criteria, are strongly encouraged to solicit these businesses/firms as subcontractors. The CONTRACTOR and all subcontractors shall comply with the prevailing wage requirements set forth in Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 of the Labor Code. Contractors or subcontractors submitting bids must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Per Senate Bill 854, all contractors and subcontractors intending to bid or perform work on public works projects will be required to register, and annually renew, online for the program. The requirement to use only registered contractors and subcontractors on public works projects, greater than $1,000.00, applies to all projects awarded on or after April 1, 2015. No bid can be accepted nor any contract or subcontract entered into nor contract issued without proof that the contractor or subcontractor is registered. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening of bids. During this time, all bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective bids. DISTRICT shall evaluate the proposed substitution and inform bidder of the outcome before the bid submission deadline. Any substitutions related to any equipment or materials must include specifications equal to the DISTRICT's specified products and, if requested to do so, a sample of the item(s) proposed at no cost or obligation to DISTRICT for the purpose of testing and evaluation. Mar 10th 2026, 12:00 AM PDT - Mar 10th 2026, 1:00 PM PDT Mandatory No Corona High School K1 - Remodel Scope of Work Classroom K1 -Remove existing VCT flooring 45' x 30' and floor base, and prep the floor for polishing -Polish the concrete floor 45' x 30', and install new 4" rubber base. -Replace existing ceiling tiles with new ceiling tiles -Replace existing lights with new LED lights (18 lights total: 1 light will be an emergency fixture) -Remove and replace all casework; the teacher demonstration desk, the student experiment islands and the tall cabinets. This includes disconnecting water and gas plumbing and electrical to the casework and reconnecting the water and gas plumbing and electrical to the new casework. -Paint the two doors and door frames, and the clearstory window frames. -Replace hand sink and exposed plumbing. -Resurface tackboard on the walls. These are chatfield-clark tackboards. -Clean, sand, prime, and paint Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) on the walls. Storage Room -Remove existing VCT flooring 11' x 15.5', and floor base, and prep the floor for polishing -Polish the concrete floor 11' x 15.5'', and install new 4" rubber base. -Remove existing built-in casework. -Paint walls, ceilings, the door and door frame. -Replace existing ceiling mounted light with new LED light.
