Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Wellesley is requesting proposals from qualified firms for project development, public engagement, design, and traffic engineering services for the Fells Commercial Area and the Route 9 (Worcester Street) Weston Road Interchange. The projects purpose is to redesign the Route 9 ramp intersections with Weston Road and Cleveland Road to increase safe access to and visibility for local businesses at that site, and to enhance pedestrian circulation and vehicular maneuvers. The Towns representative for this engagement will be Sheila Page, Select Board Office, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482. Questions or comments regarding this RFP may be directed to her at: spage@wellesleyma.gov. Questions will be collected by EOB March 11, 2026 and responded to by March 13, 2026. The selected Consultant should commence work within two weeks of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The Town anticipates engineering work to be phased over a one-year period. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any requirements of this Request for Proposals, request additional or clarifying information to modify or amend with the consent of the Consultant any proposal including but not limited to team members, and to negotiate the costs, fees, and/or terms of any agreement (contract) deemed by the Town to be in its best interest. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
