Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in South Bend, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project entails roadway milling, placing HMA courses, tree removal and trimming, concrete patch removal, concrete curb, inlet rehabilitation or reconstruction, and pavement markings at various sites, with an estimated project length of approximately 8.3 miles. Bids must be accompanied with a certified check or bid bond of not less than ten percent of the total bid amount, along with a non-collusive affidavit as prescribed. The awarded bidder will be required to furnish separate payment, performance, and maintenance bonds. Attention is directed to the affirmative action requirements and insurance provisions. Specifications and plans are available online or for viewing at the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Growth's Office. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the one in the best interest of St. Joseph County. The Board also reserves the right to hold bids up to 60 calendar days from receipt. Question Deadline 03/03/2026 at 12:00 PM ET All questions regarding the project must be submitted via email prior to 12:00 PM noon on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. Any required addendum will then be uploaded by 2:00 PM March 5th, 2026.
