Award details not available. Belknap County is seeking a qualified contractor to perform installation of a new door. Proposals must be submitted to the Board of Commissioners, with the outside envelopes labeled Nursing Home Door Replacement. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and may cancel this request at any time, for any reason, at its discretion. Work Areas: Belknap County Nursing Home 30 County Drive Laconia, NH 03246 1. General Overview The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove the existing double door and frame assembly and install a new hollow metal double door system complete with frame, hardware, weatherization components, access control devices, and all related accessories. All work shall be performed in a professional manner consistent with industry standards for commercial hollow metal door installation. 2. Existing Conditions Existing double door and frame assembly located at the Service Hall shall be removed in entirety. Contractor shall field-verify existing opening dimensions and wall construction prior to fabrication or installation. Contractor shall verify rough opening size is compatible with the new 6/0 x 6/8 frame configuration. 3. Demolition and Disposal The Contractor shall: 1. Remove existing doors, frame, hardware, thresholds, weather-stripping, and associated components. 2. Protect adjacent walls, flooring, ceilings, and finishes during demolition. 3. Provide lawful off-site disposal of all demolition materials. 4. Include all labor and handling associated with Removal & Disposal of Demo Materials. 4. New Door and Frame Installation A. Hollow Metal Doors (2 Total) Provide and install: 1. (1) HMD 3/0 x 6/8 Hollow Metal Door - RHRA o 18-gauge steel o Half glass configuration o Polystyrene insulated core o Factory primed (1) HMD 3/0 x 6/8 Hollow Metal Door - LHRIA o 18-gauge steel o Half glass configuration o Polystyrene insulated core o Factory primed Doors shall be properly reinforced and prepped for all specified hardware. B. Hollow Metal Frame Provide and install: (1) HMFWL Welded Hollow Metal Frame - Masonry, 6/0 x 6/8 o 16-gauge steel o 1/4" jamb depth o 2" face, 2" head o Prepped for RHRA/LHRIA configuration o Punched and drilled (P&D) for specified hardware Frame shall be installed plumb, square, level, and securely anchored to masonry construction in accordance with manufacturer requirements. 5. Hardware Installation Provide and install the following hardware: A. Exit Devices (2) Von Duprin 22 SVR Exit Devices - Finish 689 (1) Von Duprin 230L Exit Trim - Night Latch Function - Finish 689 All exit devices shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer instructions and adjusted for smooth operation. B. Hinges (6) Mac HUS32D NRP Hinges - 4 1/2" x 4 1/2", US32D Finish Install non-removable pin (NRP) hinges for security. C. Door Closers (2) 8501 Tri-Mount Door Closers o Push or pull side mounting o Double lever arm o Aluminum painted finish Closers shall be adjusted for proper closing speed and latching. 6. Weatherization Components Provide and install: (1) PK302AV5 Weather Stripping - 84" x 72" (2) PK302A32 Door Sweeps - 36" (3) Pemko 357SP 84" Overlapping Astragal - Galvannealed Steel Finish (1) TH171A72 Aluminum Threshold - 5" x 72" All weather-stripping components shall be installed to provide a tight seal without impeding door operation. 7. Access Control Components Provide and install: (2) Model 32 Magnalock (M32) o 600 lb holding force o 12/24 VDC o Satin stainless steel finish Contractor shall: Coordinate electrical requirements. Install magnalocks aligned for proper holding force. Coordinate with Owner's access resident wander guard vendor for wiring and final commissioning unless otherwise specified. Verify voltage compatibility and proper operation. 8. Installation Requirements All hardware shall be installed per manufacturer specifications. Doors shall swing freely, latch properly, and maintain consistent clearances. All fasteners shall be concealed where applicable and corrosion resistant. Field touch-up of primed surfaces shall be provided after installation. Final adjustments shall be completed to ensure smooth, code-compliant operation. 9. Code Compliance Installation shall comply with: Applicable building codes Life safety and egress requirements ADA accessibility standards NFPA requirements for exit hardware 10. Final Inspection and Turnover Upon completion, the Contractor shall: Test all hardware and access control components. Demonstrate proper door and hardware operation to Owner. Clean work area and remove all debris. Provide product data and warranty documentation. 11. Summary of Included Work Removal of existing double door and frame Disposal of demolition materials Installation of new 6/0 x 6/8 welded hollow metal frame Installation of two 3/0 x 6/8 hollow metal half-glass doors Complete hardware package installation Weatherization components Threshold and astragal installation Magnalock installation and coordination Final adjustments and cleanup
