The work consists of Asphalt Rubber Seal Treatment applied to hot-mix asphalt roadways in various public rights-of-way in the Town of Weston. Every bid must be accompanied by cash, a bid bond, or a certified, treasurer's, or cashier's check from a responsible bank or trust company made payable to the Town of Weston in an amount of not less than five percent of the bid amount. A performance bond for fifty percent of the total contract price and a labor and materials payment bond for one hundred percent of the total contract price are required. Bids are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including minimum wage rates and weekly payroll record submittal requirements. Contractor selection will be based on bidder qualifications, past performance on similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, or take other actions as deemed in the best interest of the Town.
