The project work consists of water renovations and improvements, including installation of new 8-inch and 10-inch ductile iron water main, valves, fittings, appurtenances, and fire hydrants to replace the existing water distribution system on West Beall Street between North 7th Avenue and North 3rd Avenue, on West Lamme Street between North 7th Avenue and North 5th Avenue, and on North 5th Avenue between Lamme Street and Villard Street. CONTRACTOR and any subcontractors bidding or doing work must be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics must be paid wages as required by the laws of Gallatin County and the state of Montana. Entities submitting proposals must include a written affirmation of non-discrimination and recognize that the eventual contract will also contain this provision. The contract and any subcontractors must abide by the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section 39-3-104, MCA (the Montana Equal Pay Act), and affirm they have reviewed equal pay best practices. Each bid or proposal must include a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Successful bidders shall furnish approved Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Required insurance must be provided by the successful bidder(s), with certificates of insurance. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids. The City of Bozeman reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, to postpone award of the contract for up to sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the best interest of the City of Bozeman.
