Site work and paving for a civil project in Kalispell, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of April 10, 2026, project was awarded to Mike Coleman Construction, Inc., awarded amount is $613,441.95. The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment required to replace an existing 8-inch cast iron water main and install approximately 733 linear feet of 12-inch water main, 171 linear feet of 8-inch water main, and 13 linear feet of 6-inch water main replacing existing 6 and 8-inch water main. The project also entails: water valves, water service connections, paved surface restoration, and a fire hydrant. All bidders shall, as bid security, accompany the bid with: 1) lawful currency of the United States or a cashier's check; or 2) a certified check or bank money order drawn and issued by a national bank located in Montana or by a banking corporation incorporated in Montana; or 3) a bid bond or bonds, executed by a surety corporation authorized to do business in Montana. The bid security shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. Any such bank instrument shall be payable to the City of Kalispell. If a contract is awarded, the bidder whose bond is accepted and who shall thereafter refuse to enter into and execute the proposed contract, or as stated in the covenant, shall absolutely forfeit such moneys or bank instruments to the City, and become immediately liable on said bid bond in said sum. The bid security shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. Also included in the project is the base and asphalt patchwork for the restoration of the road surface. The purpose of the project is to upgrade existing infrastructure and bring into compliance with City standards.
