Western Municipal Water District (Western) is requesting proposals from qualified environmental consulting firms to provide environmental review, permitting, and regulatory compliance services for the Mills Gravity Line (MGL) Blow-Off Valve #6. The proposed work includes repair or replacement activities at an existing blow-off valve located within a jurisdictional drainage and sensitive biological habitat. Previous biological assessments have identified the presence of regulated waters and sensitive resources in and adjacent to the proposed work area. As a result, the project is anticipated to require compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and coordination with multiple federal and state regulatory agencies.Western intends to retain a consultant with demonstrated experience in CEQA documentation, biological resources, and federal and state permitting for linear infrastructure projects in environmentally constrained areas.
