Reference Number 0000413964 Placement of approximately 2,840 l.f. of 8" and 6" HDPE water main (520 l.f. by pipe-bursting, 2,100 l.f. by Directional Drilling, and 220 l.f. by direct burial), 4 gate valve and wells, 6 hydrants, 35 water services and curb boxes, abandonment of 2,185 l.f. of existing 8" water main, removal and replacement of concrete pavement, restoration and other miscellaneous items of work. The prime contractor shall demonstrate that they have successfully completed the installation of a minimum of 40,000 linear feet of 8-inch or larger water main by directional drilling, 20,000 linear feet of 8-inch or larger water main by pre-chlorinated pipe-bursting, and 20,000 linear feet of 8-inch or larger water main by traditional open-cut methods within the last three (3) years of similar scope in the State of Michigan. Failure to provide supporting documentation these requirements will constitute an invalid bid submittal. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the date set for opening thereof. The right to accept any bid, to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities in bidding is reserved by the City of Livonia. Portions of this Contract may be deleted due to unforeseen circumstances without compensation. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance, Labor and Material,and Maintenace and Guarantee Bonds.
