Sealed proposals are requested for the Disposal of Rubbish, Disposal of Recycling, or a combined Disposal of Rubbish and Recycling. Proposals must be delivered to the office of the Safety & Service Director of the City at the specified location and time. Plans, specifications, and bid forms are available from the Safety & Service Department for a nonrefundable deposit. Each bid must include a certified check or bond for $1,000 as a guarantee of contract completion, with unsuccessful bidders’ checks returned upon contract award. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the project’s title. Bidders must comply with State of Ohio Labor Standards, prevailing wage rates, insurance requirements, equal employment opportunity provisions, and provide payment and performance bonds for 100% of the contract price. Bids cannot be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. The City reserves the right to waive informalities, change quantities, or reject any or all bids.
