Demolition and renovation of a municipal facility in Westernport, Maryland. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 5,080-square-foot, one-room municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Bids are being accepted for the demolition and cleanup of the Old Westernport Town Hall at 107 Washington Street, Westernport, MD 21562. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performance of work for demolishing and cleaning up one unit of approximately 5,080 sq. ft. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the proposer and the name of the project. Payment retainage amounts are to be split into a 50/50 post-award/final product completion schedule. Any bidder with debarment sanctions is excluded from participating. Compliance with all federal and state requirements such as Equal Opportunity, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Non-collusion, Anti-bribery, and kickbacks is required. Potential contractors must submit a 5% bid bond for construction projects over $100,000. For contracts over $100,000, a 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond in the amount of the contract are required. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, negotiate with bidders, and check bidder references before awarding the contract.
