Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lafayette, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Vestibule Additions - 2026 at Charles Burke Elementary School, David Thibodaux STEM Academy, Duson Elementary School, Judice Middle School, and Live Oak Elementary School. The work must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days from the specified contract date or Notice to Proceed, and failure to do so will result in liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day. Bidders must submit one original bid, either delivered to the designated Purchasing Department or electronically via the stated online platform. Each bid must include a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond (five percent of the base bid plus all alternates, no money orders accepted). The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount, using forms provided by the School Board. Bids will be accepted only from contractors licensed in Building Construction by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. Bids may not be withdrawn for 45 days after receipt, except as allowed by law. Participation of minority business enterprises is strongly encouraged for all contracts and procurements.
