The work consists of the labor, superintendence, and materials needed to rehabilitate drainage lines in need of repair and/or correction of structural problems within Lafayette City-Parish. The work will be accomplished by internally lining the drain lines using the cure-in-place (CIPP) method on an as-needed, on-call basis. Labor, mobilization, and machinery as specified in the technical specifications are to be included in the unit price per linear foot. The duration of the contract is one year from contract finalization, with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. Instructions to bidders include: bids must be submitted electronically or at the office specified. Only a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall be submitted as bid security, equal to five percent of the base bid plus additive alternates. Electronic bids must include copies of both the front and back of the check or bid bond. Bids must be signed in accordance with applicable laws, and a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the person signing the bid is required. Failure to submit these will result in rejection. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsible bid that is in compliance with the specifications. Contractors submitting bids of $50,000 or more must be properly licensed for the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction or Highway, Street, and Bridge. The Lafayette Consolidated Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) is strongly encouraged.
