The project involves constructing a wearing surface of chip seal, fog seal, and pavement markings on selected roadways throughout Greene County, Ohio. All work must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and the Ohio Prevailing Wage Laws under the State of Ohio, Department of Commerce. Engineers Estimate:* $596,514.41 This a collective bid by Greene County and the jurisdictions located in Greene County, Ohio, for the purpose of constructing a wearing surface of chip seal, fog seal, and pavement markings to selected roadways. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to provide chip seal, fog seal, and pavement markings. This is a prevailing wage contract in accordance with the Ohio Prevailing Wage Laws under the State of Ohio, Department of Commerce. The intent is to award a contract based upon lowest and best bid for all work defined within these specifications. This shall result in the collective bid being awarded to one contractor. Bid each jurisdiction based actual cost to perform the work based upon the specifications and materials listed and/or noted. Only those contractors which are currently pre-qualified in the proper work type(s) by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be eligible to submit bids for the construction of this project. A bidder must possess and complete work types equal to at least 50 percent of the total amount of the submitted bid price. This project provides a format, bid by the Greene County Engineer, in which each County/Representative(s), Village or City Council Representative(s) or Board of Township Trustees/Representative(s), for their respective jurisdiction, shall decide all questions as to quality and acceptability of materials furnished and work performed either expressed or implied by these specifications.
