Site work for a civil project in Lewiston, Idaho. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Removal and demolition of existing pumps, pump motors, motor control centers, and water level float sensing systems, including mercury switch components. Installation of new pumps and motors for all stations that have exceeded life-cycle hours or are failing. Installation of new motor control centers with soft-starter technology and an emergency diesel generator connector. Removal and replacement of the existing alarm system with updated, cyber-secure technology that provides enhanced warning and emergency information. New programmable logic controllers will accept inputs from water level sensors and motor control center alarms and transmit alarms to the operating building via radio, including indications for high water and loss of power. The water level sensing system will incorporate infrared sensors with potential radar backup to ensure reliable performance during freezing or adverse weather conditions. Completion of this work will increase system reliability during normal pumping operations and flood-fighting events and improve overall flood risk management. Construction magnitude is estimated to be $10M and $25M. The period of performance is 5 months.
