Site work for a mixed-use development in Lorain, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

The City of Lorain is advancing a $3.5 million stabilization project at Sunset Pier Park to repair deteriorated sections of the historic finger piers. Work will include reinforcing aging sheet pile bulkhead walls, installing rock buttress shoreline stabilization, removing deteriorated timber walers, filling an underground vault to improve subsurface stability, installing pedestrian railings, and placing traffic barriers and bollards near vulnerable pier areas. The project aims to protect public safety and support broader plans to transform the former industrial piers into a public waterfront destination. Funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as part of $4 million in federal Congressional Directed Spending secured with the support of U.S. Representative Bob Latta.
