The City of Lorain, Ohio requests qualification statements from interested professional engineering, architectural, and surveying firms to provide professional design, construction administration, or field survey services. The purpose is to pre-qualify firms for possible City contracts in areas including Storm Water Improvements, Sanitary Sewer Improvements, Waterline Improvements, Street Infrastructure Improvements, Traffic Engineering, Brownfield, Environmental, Architectural Improvements, Wastewater/Water Treatment Plant Improvements, Construction Administration and Inspection, Field Survey Services, Geotechnical and Soils Investigation, Geographic Information Services (GIS), and other related services. Qualification Statements should include: 1. A cover letter indicating the prequalification area or areas for which consideration is requested. 2. A brief history of the firm, including major areas of expertise. 3. Resumes for key personnel of the firm. 4. A list of clients and representative projects worked on in the last five years per area of pre-qualification. 5. A list of other public authorities that have deemed the firm pre-qualified, including a listing of ODOT pre-qualification areas. 6. A description of the firm's approach to managing workload, project scheduling, and deadline adherence, including a list of available qualified personnel, equipment, and facilities. 7. Any further information helpful for the City to determine the qualifications of the firm. Submissions must include one hardcopy and one electronic version in PDF format on a USB flash drive. Statements not including all requested information will not be deemed responsive and should be limited to 75 pages. The City reserves the right to request additional or supplemental statements as necessary. Professional design firms must update their qualifications annually to maintain or modify status with the City.
