Renovation of an educational facility in Malta, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 Caukin Roof Replacement for Kishwaukee College. Lump sum bid proposals are required. A bid security of ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash, must be submitted. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the designated college representative and will be publicly opened at the specified location. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled, with representatives from the owner and architect available to answer questions regarding bidding procedures and project requirements. Bidding documents are available for a refundable deposit. All contractor contact and questions must be submitted in writing to the designated architect; direct or unauthorized contact with college personnel is forbidden and may result in disqualification. The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and make the award in its best interest. All bidders must comply with Illinois prevailing wage laws, statutory labor requirements, and equal employment opportunity laws. Bidders must also comply with the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act for certain services, with BEP certification required for relevant vendors at time of bid.
