Oswego CUSD 308 is requesting bids to provide floor removal and installation for elementary gymnasiums. All vendors must comply with applicable Illinois law requiring payment of prevailing wage by contractors working on publicly funded projects, and with Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or parts thereof and waive any irregularities or informalities. The current project is to remove/install Luxury Vinyl Flooring (LVT), multi-purpose, or similar option flooring in current carpeted gym floors in 2 buildings. Additional flooring options will be considered. Please bid on all options. Below are basic specifications that will be required in each proposal: _ Removal and disposal of all existing floor coverings _ Testing of slab for flatness, smoothness, and hardness _ Moisture and air quality testing before or after leveling occurs _ Tenting or other protection needed in the area due to exposure of silica dust _ Floor surveys _ Plywood subfloor _ Mock ups _ Asbestos control or abatement _ Shot blasting, scarifying, brush hammering, shaving, grinding, sanding, or any other form of mechanical floor preparation _ Surface preparation, including leveling, skim coating, and spackling (where material is installed on walls) _ Transition/ramping to other flooring _ Cleaning, sealing, buffing, or waxing of resilient or specialty products _ Furnishing or installing entrance mats, mounted carpet mats, frames, or related items _ Factory pre-formed base corners _ Supplying or application of concrete sealer _ Pattern matching & borders _ Removal and disposal of any waste and debris generated during the installation _ Cleaning and vacuuming _ Unless specified otherwise in the proposal, all work will be performed on regular time, Monday through Friday Blueprint Maps are viewable in Exhibit B Approximate square footage in each area is: Wheatlands Elementary-5400 Square feet Lakewood Creek Elementary-5400 Square feet Questions related to RFP may be submitted, in writing, via email to kearwood@sd308.org by March 6th 2026 by 12pm.
