The OWNER is upgrading its existing wastewater treatment facility. The project includes but is not limited to, the following (also see 01010 Summary of Work) Lagoon upgrades including new aeration systems, new baffle curtains within Lagoon Nos. 1 & 3, and new air lateral butterfly valves. Installation of new stop gates within the Lagoon Inlet Chamber and new automatic weir gates within the Lagoon Outlet Chamber. This requires concrete modifications within both structures. Installation of three (3) new positive displacement blowers, stainless steel air piping, heating and ventilation, electrical upgrades, and building improvements within the Blower Building. Installation of a new exterior standby generator. Installation of a below grade screening structure and tank to accept septage with mixing and pumping to the existing septage receiving unit within the Headworks Building. Sludge and Scum Vault upgrades including replacement of the access hatch and demolition of ceiling mounted heating and ventilation. Demolition of the covers and interior equipment within the existing two (2) 55-ft diameter secondary clarifiers. Installation of gravel fill within both abandoned clarifiers. Installation of a new UV disinfection system within a new concrete structure and building enclosure. Modification of yard piping to accommodate the new UV disinfection system. Installation of a new effluent flow meter and flood protection manhole Installation of a chemical dosing system within the Headworks Building. Installation of a flood protection manhole downstream of the new UV system. Installation of a new potable water line to the new UV structure. Installation of a new suction lift pump station and force main to accept flow at the revious West End Influent Structure and pump to the Headworks Building influent channel. Associated electrical and instrumentation upgrades.
