The purpose of this project is to provide a safe learning and working environment for the Murrieta Valley Unified School District staff and students. As part of our Measure BB end of life cycle replacement plan, we need to replace the Stadium Field Lighting at all 3 high schools and the exterior pool lighting at 2 high schools. This is a Public Works project; Prevailing Wages and Payment & Performance Bonds will be required. Furthermore, the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder will be required to be registered with the DIR and a project registration number will be provided. Project Scope of Work The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary as defined by the Contract Documents and approved DSA drawings. Vista Murrieta High School - Easement Permit, Traffic Plan with the City of Murrieta for the potential shut down of the street while crane lifts unit into place. It is the intention to have a fully executed contract by May 4, 2026 and possibly do some of the work during first couple of weeks in May if school schedules allow. If not, all work will be performed in June & July 2026. All bids must be signed by the bidder in permanent ink and submitted in sealed envelopes, bearing on the outside, the bidder's name, address, telephone number, and California Contractor's License number, the name of the Project, the Bid Number for which the bid is submitted, and clearly state attention Purchasing Department. If the bid is being delivered by a carrier service, the envelope that carries the required sealed package must state at minimum the vendor's name, reference the Bid Number, and be directed to the Purchasing Department. The District reserves the right to reject any bid if all of the above information is not furnished. It is each bidder's sole responsibility to ensure its bid is timely delivered and received at the location designated as specified above. Any bid received at the designated location after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned to the bidder unopened. Time for Completion: It is hereby understood and agreed that the Work under this Contract shall commence on May 4, 2026, and be substantially completed by July 24, 2026. Bids will not be accepted if a Contractor has not been prequalified where prequalification is required. Prequalification documents are available from the PQBids web-page at - PQBids PreQualification. Prequalification documents must be submitted by March 12, 2026, by 5:00PM and must be approved by March 19, 2026. Bidders are responsible for monitoring their application status within PQBids and ensuring all required documentation is submitted and approved. Failure to maintain an active pre-qualification status may result in a bid being deemed non-responsive. Confirmation of a Contractor's prequalification status is available for review through the link provided online. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class B or C10 License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract.
