The project generally involves maintaining approximately 23 miles of major arterial roadways throughout the City of San Jose by applying protective sealant to existing pavement, with the goal of preserving and extending the lifespan of these roadways. The scope of work will also include reinstallation of pavement striping. Instructions to bidders: - Bidders must submit sealed proposals electronically via Biddingo (www.biddingo.com/sanjose) before the deadline. - Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's bond equal to at least 10% of the total bid amount, issued by an admitted surety insurer in California and naming the City of San José as beneficiary. Include the surety's power of attorney and notary acknowledgement. - Bidders must have a valid California contractors license, classification A or C-12, and disclose license information in the proposal. - Bidders and all designated subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations per California Labor Code Sections 1725.5 and 1771.1. - The project is subject to California prevailing wage requirements and to the Citys Wage Theft Prevention Policy.
