Site work for a water / sewer project in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of approximately 70 iron or lead pipe water services and approximately 70 clay pipe sanitary laterals from the basement of the house to either the street terrace area or the main; as well as related work including unclassified excavation, site restoration, erosion control, and traffic control. Pre-qualification is required. Qualifications are due by 4:00 p.m. on March 4, 2026. Pre-qualification forms specific to this project are available for download from the QuestCDN project page under Q&A. Completed forms should be submitted by email only. Contractors will be notified of qualification status by 4:00 pm. on March 6, 2026. Direct all bidding inquiries to Engineer's Project Manager, Nate Rego, at (920) 392-5135. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: MSA Professional Services, Inc; Jason Laue, P.E; (920) 392-5136, jlaue@msa-ps.com, and Quest # 10075332 if Q&A is applicable for project. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered A. In general, the work consists of replacement of sanitary sewer laterals, water services, site restoration and all related work. Replacement can be either public (main to the edge of pavement for sanitary and main to the curb stop for water), private (edge of pavement to inside of building for sanitary and curb stop to inside of building for water), or both. B. The addresses of the properties and the anticipated work to be performed at each property (water service and/or sanitary lateral replacement) will be provided by the City of Beaver Dam staff. Contract A will include properties on Madison Street from Chatham Street to Rowell Street. Contract B will include properties on E 3 rd Street and E Maple Avenue from N Spring Street to University Avenue. C. The construction consists of supplying all materials, equipment, labor, etc. to supply a complete working system. D. Substantial Completion (including restoration) shall mean the successful installation and completion of all bid items to provide owner with a complete project, and may exclude the following. 1. Any items deemed non-essential by the Engineer and which the Contractor makes a written request for consideration by Engineer prior to the date of substantial completion and engineer affirms in writing. E. Final Completion (All Work) shall mean the successful completion of all work. This shall include the delivery (by Contractor to Owner) of all project closeout documentation, which includes in part the following. 1. Completed original lien waivers from the general contractor as well as from all sub-contractors and suppliers. 2. Final payment request and change order documentation (if applicable). 3. Any other documentation required by the contract documents.
