The La Verendrye Hospital Pharmacy Redevelopment project in Fort Frances, Ontario involves the extensive renovation of office spaces on the 3rd floor to relocate the pharmacy program. The work includes modifications to existing door and window openings, modifications of the existing roof structure, and the demolition of partition walls. New rooms will be constructed with steel construction and will receive new floor finishes, ceiling, lighting, millwork, equipment, and paint. Structural work includes repairs to the roof deck and structural walls affected by demolition and construction. The existing mechanical and electrical systems will be expanded to service the renovated areas, including a new rooftop air unit to serve the Pharmacy area. Plumbing fixtures and equipment will be installed to suit the new layout. The facility contains asbestos, with a significant probability of asbestos presence in wall plaster, flooring finishes, and ceiling finishes.
