Site work and paving for a road / highway in Worthington, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Work shall consist of reconditioning bituminous pavement after cold-milling and before any levelling of wear course work. Pavement reconditioning prior to the placement of bituminous patching mixture shall consist of the removal of existing loose, unstable, and deteriorated bituminous pavement or bituminous patches by air blasting with 100 psi nominal air pressure as directed by the Engineer, and cleaning by power sweeping. Bituminous patching mixture shall fill all depressions with bituminous patching material. Placing patching mixture into joints, cracks, and cavity depression areas shall be by hand placement and will require tack coat. A rubber tire roller shall be required for compaction of the bituminous patching mixture. Bituminous patching shall be completed as soon as possible following cleaning of the coldmilled bituminous surface. Removal of underlying loose, spalled, or scaled bituminous pavement at joints or cracks or bituminous patches by air blasting shall be incidental to bituminous patching mixture work. Bituminous patching shall be measured and paid by the TON.
