The City of Lynn is soliciting bids from licensed electrical companies to provide electrical installation, repair, and maintenance services on an as-needed basis in all school and municipal buildings located in Lynn, Massachusetts. The scope of work includes all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary for electrical installation, repair, and replacement services at all buildings under the control of the Inspectional Services Department. The work includes, but is not limited to, electrical service upgrades and replacements, lighting retrofits, installation and maintenance of wiring, control, and lighting systems, and inspection of electrical components such as transformers, relays, and circuit breakers. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked. General Bids must be accompanied by a copy of a Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) "Certificate of Eligibility" (DCAMM Form CQ-7) and a "Contractor Update Statement" (DCAMM Form CQ-3). The category of work for which the Bidder must be certified is Electrical. Bids must include a bid deposit not less than five percent of the total bid price in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the City of Lynn. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 and to the minimum prevailing wage rates as required by law.
