Renovation of a mixed-use development in Tawas City, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 35,700-square-foot office development.
The Iosco County Road Commission (ICRC) is seeking sealed bid proposals from contractors to furnish material and labor for the installation of a new membrane roof over the office and garage building at the ICRC Tawas Facility. The work includes installing a new single-ply TPO roof system following the removal of the current membrane roof, and shall cover all applicable roofing manufacturer items such as flashing, coping, rooftop equipment curbing, and other necessary components to ensure a complete, useable, and warrantied roof system. The total roof area is estimated at 35,700 square feet, consisting of one low-sloped pitched roof and three flat roof areas, all contiguous and separated by parapet walls. Engineered drawings and specifications have been prepared. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked as, "ICRC TAWAS ROOF." Bid Bonds and Payment & Performance Bonds are required. The specified Bid Form must be used, and it includes specifics regarding insurance, bonding, and other requirements. Bid documents are available for a non-refundable fee. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, with the intent to award a firm, fixed-price contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The project must be completed within 60 days of starting and no later than September 30, 2026. No liquidated damages will be assessed.
