Renovation of an educational facility in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project involves kitchen renovations at Alfred M. Glickman Elementary School, including new finishes, kitchen equipment, and the installation of a walk-in combo cooler/freezer extending out of the exterior wall. Plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems will be adjusted or added to accommodate the new equipment. Bids are to be submitted electronically, and bidding procedures are in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149. The Prime/General Contractor must be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management as a "General Contractor." Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades of Masonry, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical, and include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. There is a goal of twenty percent MWBE participation, and the project is subject to the City's Responsible Employer Ordinance and Massachusetts DLS Wage rates. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject, any or all bids, if in the public interest.
