The project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to upgrade Sewage Pump Station No. 304, including, but not limited to, excavation, demolition, and modification work. Furnish and install a temporary construction chain-link fence with a privacy screen, and coordinate with the adjacent school administration for the location. Furnish, install, operate, and remove temporary sewage effluent by-pass pumps, equipment, and accessories, with plans, calculations, and specifications to be submitted for approval before installation. Furnish and install appropriate barriers to ensure safety around the construction zone, including a temporary 6-foot chain link fence with privacy windscreen mesh. Furnish and install tree protection barriers around existing trees to remain. Remove from the dry well existing pumps, piping, valves, fittings, dehumidifier, electrical components, emergency discharge connection, existing sewer clean out plug, existing concrete slabs, steel grating, and ladders. Demolish and remove the existing dry well from ground elevation to 6-feet below, including concrete access and steel beams, sealing all existing holes left by removal and filling remaining portions with flowable fill. Partially remove the upper portion of the existing wet well from the top of hatch at elevation (+) 8.83' down to (+) 6.00', remove the top slab, all piping and fillets, clean the interior, sandblast to remove coating, patch and repair joints and cracks, prepare and apply new coating. Demolish and remove the existing electrical control panel, SCADA antenna, concrete slab, buried conduits, Unistrut frame for panel support, standby generator set and concrete pad, and all electrical services. Bid submissions must be electronic, through the eBuilder Bid Portal, with a hard copy sent to WASD within one business day of submission. The original bid bond security (bid bond or cashier's check) must be delivered to WASD before bids are opened, otherwise the submission will be rejected. Multiple bid submissions by the same company will result in all bids being rejected. The required documents for the bid package are: Appendix 5A, Quotation Forms Pages, Addendums, and Bid Bond if the bid meets or exceeds $200K. A Performance and Payment Bond with additional insurance will be required upon award of the bid if it meets or exceeds $200K.
