Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Rochelle, Illinois. Design plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.
The Rochelle City Council approved an ordinance indicating its intent to borrow funds from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency to drill a new well, build a well house and construct approximately 7,400 feet of water main. The project includes development of Well 13 on Technology Parkway and related engineering agreements. The work will address peak demand, redundancy and future roadway reconstruction impacts. As of March 11, 2026, a design firm has been selected. Information regarding construction document completion timeline has not been released. Construction is slated to begin in December 2026, with substantial completion date of December 2027. The firm timelines have not been established.
