Almont Community Schools is seeking proposals from qualified contractors/vendors for lawn maintenance services for the school district, with the contract term from May 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026. The district may extend the one-year contract annually for up to two additional years based on satisfactory performance. Proposals must include a completed Bid Form, List of Equipment to be used for lawn maintenance, a completed Bidding Contractor Information form, and a completed Familial Relationship Disclosure Form. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "LAWN MAINTENANCE PROPOSAL" and will not be accepted via facsimile or electronic mail. The scope of work includes mowing, trimming, and weeding for the following locations: Orchard Primary School, Almont Middle School, and Almont High School (including athletic fields), with detailed requirements and restrictions for each area. Additional work requiring a separate itemized bid includes striping and chalking of all athletic fields during various sport seasons. Bidders must adhere to designated mowing times and maintenance instructions for each site. The district may evaluate proposals both objectively and subjectively, and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or portions thereof, and to negotiate service changes if needed. All proposals must remain valid for forty-five (45) days after submission, and any modifications must be mutually agreed upon after acceptance of a proposal. A pre-bid walk through must be scheduled in advance, and self-initiated walk throughs or solicitation of staff for information are not permitted. Failure to provide requested information or meet specified conditions may invalidate a proposal.
