Description

Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work consists of sidewalk repairs throughout the city at various locations. The bid is to be submitted on a unit price basis. The estimated cost is $98,000. The project requires providing permanent seeding to areas adjacent to repairs by specified milestones during the construction period, with final completion required. The latest editions of the Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS) and the City of Cedar Rapids General Supplemental Specifications to SUDAS apply. Items in the project are exempt from State of Iowa and local option sales and use taxes, which should not be included in the bid. Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount and, upon award, a corporate surety bond for 100% of the contract amount. All contractors and subcontractors must have a drug and alcohol testing policy and provide an acknowledgement with the bid. Preference is given to products and labor grown, produced, or provided within Iowa as required by law. Each bid should contain no conditions except as provided by the specifications. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to defer acceptance for up to 60 days after bid opening.
