The work includes the construction of approximately: 3,100 LF remove concrete curb and gutter - spot repair; 6,990 SF remove concrete sidewalk - spot repair; 111 EA salvage existing casting; 35,900 SY in-place bituminous reclamation 8" - 12" deep (P); 1,320 CY common excavation (LV); 900 CY select granular backfill (CV); 245 TN Class 5 gravel base; 4,700 CY load, haul, place, compact, and tolerance excess reclaim; 8,600 TN bituminous mixtures for streets; 450 LF bituminous curb; 180 LF 10" PVC pipe sewer; 88 LF 12" - 15" RCP storm sewer; 3,100 LF concrete curb and gutter design surmountable - spot repair; 4,700 SF 4" concrete sidewalk - spot repair; 1,600 SF 6" concrete pedestrian ramp; 260 SF truncated domes; 52 EA storm inlet protection; 2,600 SY restoration (seed, hydraulic matrix, blanket), together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with plans and specifications. This project is subject to the Buy American Iron and Steel Provisions. All work under the contract must be complete by 09/25/26. A bid shall be submitted online no later than the date and time prescribed. For this project, only online electronic bids through QuestCDN will be accepted. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. All prospective contractors must comply with the minimum criteria for a "responsible contractor" as defined in Minn. Stat. § 16C.285, subd. 3. A false statement under oath verifying compliance with any of the minimum criteria will make the contractor ineligible for the project and may result in contract termination. A proposal bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of City of Forest Lake, shall accompany each bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the owner would be best served thereby.
