The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking bids from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to complete an epoxy replacement project in the Great Hall of Charles F. Do dge City Hall, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. IMPORTANT: This project has a fixed performance window of July 30, 2026 through August 30, 2026. All work shall be performed strictly within the fixed performance period. Contractors must be fully mobilized and begin work on July 30th, 2026. This schedule is mandatory and non-negotiable. Any failure to meet the required start or completion dates will subject the Contractor to liquidated damages as set forth in Section 2.6 of this solicitation. Liquidated damages for this project shall be NINE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR DOLLARS ($964.00) per day. A Proposal Security shall be required for every bidder, regardless of proposal amount. Proposal Security shall be in the amount of $10,000 or 5% of the total cumulative base amount proposed, whichever is less. Regardless of the awarded contract amount, two (2) separate bonds (Payment and Performance Bonds) are required, and both must be approved by the City. The penal sum stated in each bond shall be 100% of the contract price. 4. SCOPE OF WORK 4.1. GENERAL INFORMATION Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and any other necessary items required for complete installation. The minimum experience required as a licensed Contractor is five (5) years for this project. Awarded Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all adjacent areas; and the subsequent restoration of such should damage occur. Contractor shall provide all testing, manufacturer warranties, and certifications. The Contractor shall employ a competent English-speaking superintendent who shall be in attendance at the project site during the progress of the work. The superintendent shall be the primary representative for the Contractor and all communications given to and all decisions made by the superintendent shall be binding to the Contractor. Contractor will be required to schedule all work with the City's Project Manager. Contractor shall be responsible for all debris removal and restoration to any existing areas damaged by the contractor once the project is completed. Site shall be made safe, and clean of debris at the end of each workday. All precautions need to be taken for life safety and protection of people and all structures on the site. Upon completion, contractor shall remove all excess materials that have been misplaced on other surfaces. Upon completion of the job, the awarded contractor will remove all surplus materials from the premises related to the project. Upon completion, contractor shall clean all window glass to be free of excess material. Verification of all dimensions, square footages and quantities are the responsibility of the contractor. A floor plan is available under the Attachments section for reference. Site access will be through the South Loading Dock Entrance of City Center. Parking locations will be designated for contractor by the Project Manager. Trash removal should be arranged prior to pickup with City Project Manager. Area should be maintained clean throughout project. The work must be performed Thursday after 5 PM until Sunday at 11 PM from July 30th through August 30th.
