Site work for a fire / police facility in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a 1,950-square-foot fire / police facility.
The project consists of the installation of pet-friendly artificial turf at a designated area of approximately 1950 sq ft. The vendor must handle all plans, submittals, permits, and associated fees. A general contractor's license is not required, but appropriate insurance is necessary. Material standards for the sub-base require removal of all vegetation, excavation of at least 4-6 inches, construction of a subbase with compacted crushed stone or gravel, and a topping layer of sand or granite fines. The finished area must have a slight slope for drainage, use no nails or staples for edge securing due to pet use, and include odor control solutions. Turf specifications require polyethylene or nylon fiber, pile height of 1.25"-2", minimum 40 oz/sq yd face weight, polyurethane backing, antimicrobial and odor-controlling infill, a minimum drainage rate of 30" per hour, UV stabilization, and high durability with a minimum 15-year product warranty and 1-year installation warranty. Poured in place rubber is not acceptable as an alternative. Question Due Date: April 13, 2026, 2:00pm Deadline to submit questions via the City's e-Procurement Portal. Only written responses issued through the digital platform will be considered official for interpretations or clarifications. Issuance of Final Answers to Questions: April 15, 2026 The project is expected to be awarded by May 5th Bidders must submit their bids electronically through the specified city's e-Procurement portal, ensuring the organization name matches that on all documents. Required and any additional requested documents must be scanned and uploaded. Bids may be modified or withdrawn before the submission deadline. Vendors are encouraged to be brief and clear, and only those under active consideration will be invited to complete the city's vendor registration for payments. Alternative products must be clearly indicated, with necessary documentation to prove equivalency. Professional licenses should be uploaded if applicable. Proposals not responsive to all requirements may be rejected. Turf area is approximately 1950 sq ft.
