The project includes the design and construction of a cost-effective two-lane roadway along 208th Avenue within a partially developed area that is constrained by existing infrastructure and multiple ownership jurisdictions. Portions of the corridor near the Waste Management facility are already constructed, while other sections require new development, including a critical bypass or bridge solution adjacent to the Pembroke Pines Fire Training Facility. The project also involves canal modifications for roadway alignment and drainage, and coordination with property owners such as the Walden Lake Homeowners' Association and the South Florida Water Management District to obtain necessary easements and approvals. The solicitation is conducted under the Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act, Florida Statutes 287.055, and the City will not utilize continuing contracts for these services due to the anticipated construction value of individual projects.
