The project consists of providing improvements to sidewalk segments and curb ramps throughout the City of Ithaca. The work primarily includes the removal and replacement of existing sidewalks and curb ramps, as well as the construction of new sidewalks and curb ramps, all within the City of Ithaca right of way. The contract is a Unit Price contract. Bidders are required to submit their bids in a sealed envelope entitled "2026 Sidewalk Improvement District Work BID." Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit amounting to five percent (5%) of the Total Gross Sum Bid, provided as a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond; cash is not accepted. Bid deposits from unsuccessful bidders will be promptly returned upon execution of the contract with the successful bidder. Only amendments issued as Addenda by the City of Ithaca or their designee are valid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner. Attention is called to the requirements prohibiting discrimination against employees, applicants for employment, and contractors. There is no DBE participation goal required for this contract.
