The project involves culvert replacement and stream stabilization work on Bostwick Road in the Town of Enfield, as shown in drawings prepared by Tioga County Soil and Water Conservation District. A Type 2 concrete box culvert from Jefferson Concrete Corp was purchased by the Town of Enfield for this project. Refer to the bid item schedule for a list of tasks/items included in this RFP. Bidders will be furnished with a full and complete copy of the drawings and specifications upon proper presentation of the name and mailing address, telephone numbers, and emails of the interested party. Partial sets of the bidding documents will not be issued. The Town of Enfield does not assume responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of documents. Contractor will be responsible for mobilization of equipment and necessary material to site and demobilization from site. 2.) Dewatering of the work area will be conducted via methods shown on the plans and instructions by Owner's representative. 3.) A 200' medium stone rip rap and 95' stacked rock walls will be constructed upstream according to the SITE PLAN and built according to the SPECIFICATIONS DOCUMENT. 4.) Removal of the old culverts and installation of the new concrete box culvert, which consists of excavating bridge to subgrade, place stone bedding, installing bridge, toe walls, and wing walls, and backfill structure to road subgrade according to the SITE PLAN and built according to the Project Plans and SPECIFICATIONS DOCUMENT. 5.) A 50' heavy stone riffle will be constructed at the outlet as well as a 50' stacked rock wall and a 65' medium stone rip rap wall according to the Project Plans and SPECIFICATIONS DOCUMENT. 6.) A Cross-Vane and J-Hool will be constructed downstream of the outlet according to the Project Plans and SPECIFICATIONS DOCUMENT. 7.) Seeding and mulching of the site must be accomplished within 24 hours after completion of sitework, and trench planting willows must be done. 8.) Operations will commence in the following sequence: Refer to Sheet #2 for proposed construction sequence and the included Construction Schedule and Construction Responsibility Chart.
