Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project involves the construction of new water mains, connections, and paving, as outlined in Contract #2026-W1: General/Excavation. The specific components include: West Locust St. Waterline Replacement, mill and overlay for Hoffer Street (0.21 miles), Hoffer Street (0.06 miles), Locust Street (0.07 miles), and Logan Alley (0.05 miles). The paving portion consists of milling of bituminous paving notch (600 LF), milling of bituminous pavement (2116 SY), WMA wearing course (scratch and leveling) 9.5 mm (151 tons), and WMA wearing course 9.5 mm MIX level I (404 tons). There is also an option for the Municipal Building Parking Lot, which includes installation of 2A aggregate base course (62 tons), WMA wearing course 25.0 mm MIX (38 tons), WMA wearing course 9.5 mm MIX Level 1 (15 tons), and excavation of the parking area. Bid proposals must be submitted on the required forms, sealed, and clearly marked with the appropriate contract number. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to Centre Hall Borough, or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent of the total bid. Each bid must also include a fully completed non-collusion affidavit. Only bids from bidders who have received bidding documents from the issuing office or PennBid website and completed the Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications will be accepted. Prevailing Wage Rates apply. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, negotiate contract amounts, delete portions of the project, or the entire project, and to hold bids for up to 60 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications. Copies of the bidding documents are available from the issuing office of Century Engineering, A Kleinfelder Company, for a fee. Only payments for these documents are non-refundable. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.
