The City of Darien is seeking quotes for the services of re-grinding wood mulch accumulated through the City’s brush pick-up program. The work is to be performed at the Municipal Services Facility at 1041 South Frontage Road. The vendor is required to provide one tub-grinder with a minimum of 800 horsepower and operator(s) to double grind the woodchips on site. A Case wheel loader will be supplied by the City for the vendor’s use, and the City will also supply fuel for the equipment. Each grinding date is estimated to require 4-12 hours of double grinding, with a minimum of 4 hours each day.
