The scope of work includes roadway preventative maintenance treatments for various streets in the City of Mill Valley. This work includes, but is not limited to, implementing storm water pollution and prevention measures, traffic control, base repair dig outs, application of crack seal and slurry seal, restoration of striping, markers, crosswalks, and legends, and all other work associated with roadway preventative maintenance treatments. The project also encompasses restoring existing street striping and installing new striping as specified in the Special Provisions and as directed by the Director of Public Works/City Engineer. The project must be completed within thirty-five (35) consecutive working days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed for the base bid. Instructions to bidders state that sealed proposals must be submitted to the City of Mill Valley Department of Public Works. A Bid Bond amounting to 10% of the total bid must accompany the proposal. A valid Class "A" License is required at the time of contract award. Bids are required for the entire scope of work described. The contract is subject to state nondiscrimination and compliance requirements, and prevailing wage rates as determined for Marin County apply. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
