Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mill Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work generally consists of mobilization, traffic control, installation of a concrete swale, installation of new 8" storm drain, installation of 2 drain inlets, installation of new curb & gutter, and patch hot mix asphalt pavement, replace parking striping, clean-up of the project area, and other items of work as shown on the plans. The proposed scope of work includes installing approximately 95 linear feet of Concrete Valley Gutter at Park School staff parking lot in the City of Milly Valley. As outlined in the schedule of bid items, this work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, traffic control, installation of new Valley Gutter, installation of 1 new Storm Drain Inlet, installation of 1 new Junction Structure, installation of Rip Rap Dissipater, removal and replacement of curb & gutter, hot mix asphalt pavement patching, installation of 4"x8" steel Storm Drain Box, Concrete Sidewalk Restoration, clean-up of project area, and other items of work as shown on the Plans, as called for in the Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer. Project is to be completed within Twenty (20) consecutive working days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed for the base bid. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the City of Mill Valley shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. The provisions of Public Contract Code 22300, regarding substitution of securities for monies withheld to ensure performance shall apply to this contract. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A" License at the time the contract is awarded. Telephones will not be available to bidders for the preparation of bids or for calling in bid results. Bid forms received after the designated time shall not be accepted. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities in the bids.
