501 Cascade Drive Retaining Wall Repair Project Project Description: As outlined in the schedule of bid items, this work includes, but is not limited to, removal or modification of existing roadway wood and metal barrier; installing Midwest Guardrail System and custom metal barrier; constructing traffic and pedestrian railing; traffic control; concrete work; and all other work related to replacing existing roadway barrier as specified in the Special Provisions, and as directed by the Director of Public Works/City Engineer. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the City of Mill Valley shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. The City of Mill Valley reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities. The provisions of Public Contract Code 22300, regarding substitution of securities for monies withheld to ensure performance shall apply to this contract. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A" General Engineering License at the time bids are due.
