Project Description: The proposed scope of work involves bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements, consisting of ADA compliant ramp construction, concrete work, hot mix asphalt paving, fog seal placement, traffic striping, traffic signs, and other related construction work. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $170,000 (Rounded to the nearest $10,000). A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the City of Mill Valley shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. The City of Mill Valley reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities. The provisions of Public Contract Code 22300, regarding substitution of securities for monies withheld to ensure performance shall apply to this contract. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A" General Engineering Contractor License at the time contract is awarded. Bids are required for the entire scope of work described herein. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990.
