Project Description: Improvements for this project will generally include constructing an approximately 54 linear-foot concrete drilled pile retaining wall along Edgewood Avenue at 643 Edgewood Avenue in Mill Valley. Two redwood trees, that conflict with the proposed retaining wall, has been removed by the county. The remaining tree stumps shall be grinded below the pier cap or grade as indicated on the plan, and the roadway in front of the wall will be reconstructed. Construction will take place in the daytime hours with traffic control measures and road closures as necessary.' The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A" License at time of bid submittal. To bid on this Project, the Bidder and all subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder's and all subcontractors' registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract. A Bid Bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within sixty (60) days after the date of the Bid Opening. The County may extend the specified award period if the Bidder agrees.
