Reference Number 0000423075 This project includes cleaning and televising with as needed rehabilitation, including root removal, grinding mineral deposits and protruding taps, spot liners with epoxy liner, and grouting joints, of approximately 57,844 linear feet of 8" to 48" combined and sanitary sewers in the City of Birmingham. This project also includes CIPP lining of 3,235 linear feet of 8" sewer, 891 linear feet of 10" sewer, 439 linear feet of 15" sewer and 745 linear feet of 24" sewer. Bidders shall review and comply with all Contract Documents, and supplemental information, as defined in the Information For Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to post bonds, and to comply with the contract requirements of the City Charter. Bids are firm, and no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. Procurement for the City of Birmingham will be handled in a manner providing fair opportunity for all businesses. This will be accomplished without abrogation or sacrifice of quality and as determined to be in the best interest of the City of Birmingham. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any irregularity in any of the bid proposals submitted, and to accept any proposal which it shall deem to be the most favorable to the interest of the City. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid must accompany each bid proposal.
