The work includes pavement, utility updates, and curb maintenance of Borough streets. This includes, but is not limited to, 3.5" profile milling, soft spot repair, placement of 2" of 19mm Superpave binder course, placement of 1.5" of 9.5mm fine graded Superpave wearing course, removal and replacement of 24" deepset concrete curb, removal and replacement of bituminous wedge curb, installation of ADA surface mounted DWS, replacement of ADA curb ramp, removal and replacement of Pittsburgh style inlets with Type-M inlet, installation of Type-M inlet, installation of storm sewer pipe, installation of underdrain, line striping, traffic control, resident notification, and restoration, complete in place. An add alternate for Ferry Street is included with similar work. All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified as a prime contractor and meet the work classification codes of E, F, F1, F2, and F3. All bids must include the contractor’s valid pre-qualification certification attached to the outside of the bid. Proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the words 2026 SEWICKLEY ROAD PROGRAM. Bids must be on the forms provided, accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond for 10% of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee. No proposals may be withdrawn for 60 days after submission.
